Abstract

The incidence of residual cystic duct mucocele in a series of 283 liver transplantations with a termino-terminal choledocho-choledocal anastomosis, are evaluated. In 13 patients observed, an anechoic ovoidal structure just before the portal vein and near the main bile duct (MBD) suggestive to be a non obstructive mucocele of the residual cystic duct in OLT. This complication has never led to the necessity of new surgical procedures for cholestasis by MBD compression.
