Abstract

10 patients with inoperable locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma were treated by a combination of 5 Fluorouracil (5FU), radiosensitizing (300 mg/mq) performed twice a day, plus hyperfractionated radiation therapy to the pancreas for 5100 cgy. Complete response and partial response were seen in 8 of 10 evaluable patients. Analysis of toxicity showed that the treatment protocol was very well tolerated.
