Abstract

The authors describe a case of an orbital metastatic tumor of an unknown source. Due to the unidentifiable primary side, the rapid evolution, the biopsy results, the involvement of lung and brain and the positive NSE marker we believe it was a carcinoid lung tumor. Three months later the patient died despite a good tolerance to chemiotherapy.
