Besides to several proposals intended to enhance filtering properties against athmospheric polluting particles (PM) which severely affect human health, a novel system, intended to capture and eliminate PM, is here presented. The system is made by a conic trunk intranasal medical silicone coated by spongious material, containing an elicoid coated by a biocompatible highly viscous substance composed by a biogel constituted by a strong anionic exchanger (QAE Sephadex) and a physical support (Polyvinilpirrolidone), able to attract and fix PM with opposite electric charge. Such device on the other hand induces relatively irrelevant airflow resistances, so that the specific efficiency (ratio between "filtering" power and airflow resistance) results 8 times higher than requested by present regulations or usually obtained with other filters. Besides to such high antipollutant power, the presented device opens a scenary of other possible therapeutic utilizations through the release of substances provided with curative activity.
