Abstract

Levels of radioactive caffeine and metabolites, after intra muscular injection of 1-methyl¹⁴C caffeine to pregnant rats, have been measured in maternal and fetal brains and livers at various time intervals. Caffeine and metabolites diffuse into fetal tissues and accumulate in fetal brain.
