Abstract

This chapter describes a double-bundle gracilis and semitendinosus technique that guarantees a more anatomic and strong ACL reconstruction. The described ACL reconstruction procedure allows the preservation of hamstring tendon insertion. The “over-the-top” position is used for the first passage; the second passage in the femoral tunnel and the tibial tunnel permits a rigid fixation of the graft. The avoidance of hardware and the intrinsic architectural features of the technique itself permit adjustment, especially in bundle tension.
