Abstract
The evolution, treatment, complications and mortality of 60 cases of acute renal failure (ARF) in patients older than 70 are discussed. 34 men and 26 women have been separated into 3 groups: surgical acute renal failure (12 cases), medical (37), obstructive (11); oligoanuria was present in 41 cases, non oliguria in 19. There were 9 cases of immediately reversible and 51 of not immediately reversible ARF.
