Abstract
The adaptive autoregression identification (AAR) with 'Whale' forgetting function for event related desynchronization/synchronization (ERD/ERS) analysis was presented. The method developed was compared with the standard one for quantitatively characterizing the efficacy of the method. Results showed that the autoregressive identification method was as good as the standard band-pass filtering approach for ERS estimation, automatic identification of pole frequencies and provided information expressed by the pole frequency curves.
