Chronic bronchitis is an important disease related with health, social, economic problems. Antiobiotic treatment is able to resolve the periodic infections occurring in airways, but is not effective to avoid irreparable anatomic and physiologic damages in respiratory system. The use of pharmacologic and thermal aerosol therapy has been increased, to avoid or decrease respiratory infections. This study evaluated the biologic effects of aerosol thermal therapy in bronchitic subjects treated with mineral water of Euganean Basin. Measuring LDH in airways mucus it has been possible show as this treatment is able to modify the rheologic features of airway mucus, but is also efficacious in decrease the inflammation of airways' cells.
