An unusual case of renal involvement in non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Ultrasonography of a patient with non-Hodgkin lymphoma revealed a thick subcapsular layer of lymphomatous tissue surrounding the kidney, quite separate from retroperitoneal nodes, that simulated a perirenal fluid collection or hematoma; the solid appearance on computed tomography scans and fine needle biopsy led to the diagnosis.
