Abstract

The aim of this work is to evaluate the costs of an endoscopic treatment of a superficial bladder cancer, of a radical cystectomy with ileal conduit urinary diversion or with ileal orthotopic neobladder. The endoscopic treatment of bladder cancer is clearly profitable in terms of a balance between cost and financing. If an ileal conduit urinary diversion is performed after a radical cystectomy it surely implies less consumption of assistance than the performance of an ileal orthotopic neobladder even though both operations obtain the same financing because they are both included in the same DRG 303.
