Anatomo-clinical correlations in amyloidosis of the islets of langerhans

After discussing previous publications on the subject, the authors describe 25 cases of amyloid disease of the islets of Langerhans. They come to the conclusion that two factors, i.e. diabetes mellitus and aging, are responsible for pancreatic amyloidosis.
