Abstract
This work represents the theoretical and methodological synthesis of the experience developed from 1993 up to december 2000 at the Centre for Study and Treatment of Anorexia and Bulimia, Istituto Dosso Verde, Pavia. From a theoretical point of view, eating disorders are described as a synthesis of somatic, corporal, behavioural, mental and social aspects. We layed special stress on dependance and difficult balancing between narcissistic and objectual relationships, with regression to the somatic symptom. From a methodological point of view, we present a perspective of multidisciplinary approach by integrating different types of treatment (neuropsychiatric treatment, individual therapy, parent therapy) on the team work.
