Abstract

A method for the automatic quantification of metabolic information of 1H Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) signal is presented. The method is based on a Wavelet Packets (WP) decomposition of MRS signal. The spectroscopy parameters are quantified through the linear prediction singular value decomposition (LPSVD) method applied on the different sub-signals obtained by WP analysis. As a result, relevant metabolic information such as the relative concentrations of metabolites are automatically computed.
