Abstract

We describe the clinical, neurophysiological and genetic characteristics of four italian families with autosomal dominant lateral temporal lobe epilepsy (ADLTE). Although these pedigrees showed typical clinical findings, they had no mutations of the LGI1 gene. Therefore we suggest that ADLTE is genetically heterogeneous.
