Objective: The purpose of this article is to provide a minimal set of CBCT (Cone Beam Computerized Tomography) device-related parameters in orthodontics. Materials and methods: Benefits and limitations of the cone-beam computerized tomography imaging in orthodontics have been reviewed in order to determine and suggest the proper use of this radiographic technique. Results and conclusions: The results showed that it is possible to achieve more information from 3D CBCT imaging compare to traditional 2D imaging but there is a lack of evidence-based data of the topic and a wide consensus.
