Abstract

The Authors describe one case of cystic dilatation of common bile duct and propose a wide review of the literature. The rarity of the lesion, the high incidence of tipe I dilatation (78,7%), its clinical features represented by abdominal pain (54,8%), jaundice (52,8%) and swelling (40,9%) are pointed out. Surgical excision of the cystic dilatation followed by hepatic-jejuno-stomy Roux an Y seem to be the most successful treatment.
