The authors analyze 16 cases of total or partial relapse, observed in 56, surgically treated, unicameral bone cysts. The follow up time was 1 to 22 years. In search of a relapsing explanation, they examined the technical and biological factors. In the conclusion they give special attention to the biological factor. Because the same physiological control of the bone growth (perhaps resulting from hormone balance), shows a clear influence on the connective and vascular tissue of the bone cyst.
