Botulinum toxin in rare pain syndromes

Abstract

BoNT/A may be useful in selected patients suffering from one of the above discussed rare pain syndromes. Large randomized controlled trials would be needed which are, however, difficult to perform in view of the rarity of some of these pain syndromes.
