Abstract
Two cases of calcium antagonists-induced gingival hyperplasia are described and the literature of this iatrogenic disease is reviewed. It is noticed that this problem is dealt with mainly in odontoiatric journals, since it is to a dentist that patients often refer first. As a consequence, the affected population tends to escape general practitioners' notice. The authors conclude suggesting that a cohort study on calcium antagonists- induced gingival hyperplasia should be conducted in a general practice setting.
