Abstract

Kinetic studies of OCT enzymatic activity from different sources shows firstly a significative influence on the pH optimal value. The results suggest that the pKa of the groups located at the active site are different for the sources examined probably correlated to the different acidic aminoacids content. The mechanism reaction of sheep OCTase has been also investigated.
