Abstract
How an immune response to pathogens is initiated in the gut is still an open question. In this issue of Immunity, Salazar-Gonzales et al., 2006 find that a distinct subset of CCR6-expressing dendritic cells are absolutely required to activate anti-Salmonella-specific T cells.
