Abstract

The binding of [³H]inositolhexakisphosphate ([³H]InsP₆) has been characterized in rat anterior pituitaries membranes. [³H]InsP₆ binds to a single population of recognition sites. Half maximal binding is observed after 2-5 min of incubation and binding is still present after 30-40 min. Other inositol polyphosphates appear to be only weak inhibitors of [³H]InsP₆ binding.
