Abstract
Objective and subjective daytime sleepiness was assessed by means of Multiple Sleep Latency test (MLST) and visual analogue scale in male epileptic patients on chronic treatment, 10 with PB and 10 with CBZ. Ten healthy subjects comparable for age served as controls. Performance tasks were also assessed at the same times of MLST. Patients on PB showed a greater diurnal sleepiness and worse attentive performances than patients on CBZ and control subjects.
