Abstract
Renal excretion of the low mol wt enzyme lysozyme was measured in 16 recipients of cadaver kidney homotransplantation, in the first 14 days after diuresis recommencement. Eight of the patients presented rejection episodes. High levels of lysozymuria were noted in the first days after diuresis started again; they lowered to normal values between the 10th and 11th day. A significant increase of lysozymuria was noted during 8 early rejection episodes.
