Abstract
The authors describe 2 patients showing respectively, a congenital and an acquired type of the so-called 'ocular motor apraxia'. They delineate the natural history of this ocular syndrome and submit to a critical analysis the interpretations currently advanced by neurologists and neuro-ophthalmologists.
