Abstract

Anastomotic leaks complicating intrathoracic esophagogastroplasty for cancer, remains a serious problem and its management is challenging. Is necessary to exclude necrosis of the tubulised stomach to drive treatment. In our experience, in absence of conduit necrosis, conservative treatment leads to resolution of anastomotic leak in 85% of cases.
