The authors report a case of a giant acoustic neuroma, and stress how the diagnosis of neuroma of the VIII can be a late discovery. Traditional radiological methods and CT can allow the diagnosis of acoustic neuroma in a very early stage and should lead to greater possibilities of surgical treatment and less neurological collateral effects.
