Abstract

Splenosis refers to the autotransplantation of splenic tissue in a heterotopic location after splenic trauma or surgery. The implants are rarely clinically important and are incidental findings. Ectopic splenic tissue implants into the liver must be differentiated from other benign or malignant hepatic lesions.
