A study has been made on the incidence (43%) of cystinuria in 230 vitiligo patients: substantial decrease of vitiligo was observed after a prolonged diet lacking in cystine. Cystine is present particularly in eggs and yeast. This protein is present in small quantities in meat and in milk.
