Abstract

With the employment of radioisotopes it is now possible to make a diagnostic exploration of mediastinal adenopathies through 2 main types of methodologies: adenoscintigraphy and positive oncoscintigraphy. The authors have conducted a study on 86 patients with mediastinal adenopathies of different etiology by using 3 positive indicators: 75Se, 197Hg and 67Ga. Findings obtained have proved, especially for the 67Ga, a nearly constant positiveness of fixing adenopathies having neoplastic nature.
