Abstract

Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging-informed prostate biopsy is attracting increasing interest among practicing urologists. Whether this will become the new gold standard in prostate cancer diagnosis and supplant systematic transrectal ultrasound-guided sampling remains to be determined. Here we present the main open questions and current concerns regarding this new approach.
