Abstract

The authors, after having briefly illustrated the method used for the visualization of the carotid plaques using ultrasound doppler technology in real-time and the analysis of the blood flow with the Angioscan present the first results obtained in their geriatric hospital. In agreement with other literature, they are convinced of the validity of this method for the clearness of the images and for the harmlessness of the this method which permits in time to follow the evolution of the carotid sclerotic disease.
