Double resonance mapping of liquids in porous materials

Abstract

A double resonance method to image mixed fluids which fill porous materials is presented. The method exploits the scalar coupling between nuclei of the same molecule and leads to fluid identification with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than in direct imaging of nuclei characterized by low density or low gyromagnetic ratio.
