Abstract
We reviewed 74 electrographic seizures recorded by simultaneous Ambulatory EEG-ECG in 32 patients with focal epilepsy. Changes in heart rate (HR) were found in 62 seizures (83%). Abrupt acceleration and deceleration associated with EEG discharge were greater in younger patients (≤30 years of age), during prolonged and sleep related seizures. Cardiac arrhythmias, no life threatening, were found in 3 patients (9.3%).
