Abstract

We present a case of an ectopic intrathoracic right kidney associated with almost complete stomach hernia and partial agenesis of the diaphragm. Diagnosis was easily achieved by contrast medium CT scan during the investigation of an intrathoracic mass found incidentally during a standard chest x-ray. The CT scan showed morphology and enhancement typical of the kidney.
