Abstract

SNC in one of the target sistems of the HIV infection expecially in children. Today the use of HAART allow a long remission of disease progression but disease evolution are not still clear. In order to evaluate the prospective power of EEG for evolution of possible SNC involvement we studyed a group of vertically HIV infected patients by EEG for 2 years. Our data suggest that EEG abnormalitis are frequent in HIV infected children but without clinical significance in the short term evolution.
