Abstract
Quantitative EEG analysis as a field encompasses a wide variety of techniques. These include frequency analysis (spectral analysis), topographic mapping, significance probability mapping. This method is acquiring more and more new areas into traditional EEG, thanks to introduction of more sophisticated EEG machines which allow to obtain a large quantities of informations always quantified. Problems with this new techniques are discussed at length: the reference choice, the artifacts presence, the epochs length, the techniques of analysis choise, the techniques of interpolation complexity. Moreover we considerer the advantages and the disadvantages of qEEG in clinical use compared to traditional EEG.
