Abstract
DBA/2J mice present spontaneous spiking activity resembling the petit-mal in humans and mainly dependant by GABAB receptors. The present study address the digital EEG analysis of the spike composition versus the seizure activity induced or reduced by agonists and antagonists respectively. Moreover, the profile of Levetiracetam (LEV), a new anticonvulsant, has been described accordingly. A further and correlated analysis investigate the modifications of the EEG background in the above conditions using an original algorhythm.
