Abstract
A positive effect of LEV in interictal epileptiform disharges (IEDs) recorded by Ambulatory/EEG (A/EEG) has been reported in epileptic patients. We evaluated with A/EEG 14 adult patients with idiopathic/criptogenic generalized epilepsy. Seven patients received LEV as add-on therapy, and seven as monotherapy. LEV seems to reduce EDs mostly in add-on than in monotherapy Monitoring EDs frequency to measure antiepileptic activity is useful for the assessment of LEV efficacy.
