Abstract

We have studied the effect of ascitic fluid on the platelet function in vitro in relation to coagulation parameters. Spontaneous aggregation was registered for 15 minutes. The following parameters were determined by the usual methods: fibrinogen, factors V-VIII-IX-X, prothrombin time (PT), partial thromboplastin time (PTT) and fibrinogen degradation products (FDP).
