Abstract

The aim of the study is to evalute if worker exposed to urban stressors in particular urban traffic noise mighrt show significant differences compared to a control group in the assesment of components of congnitive function in basiline conditions by standing environmental noise-exposed workers, P300, urban stressors The interest towards this argument to pic from several Studies scintific literatre reporting the presence of alternations of congnitiv functions in noisw -exposed workers The research was carried out on a working population of 8 subjects: 39 workers exposed to urban stressors with levels exposur to urban traffic noise of 74 dB Aeq nd 42 controls, The P300 amplitude was significantly higher in exposed market than) in controls. The P300 latency significantly in th two groups. These results sugges that traffic noise exposure has effects on cognitive abilities, particularly an attention, in absence of auditor damage.
