Abstract

The authors' observations suggest there is a beneficial preventative effect in the use of low dose heparin calcium in patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia or acute myelocytic leukemia, in that no signs of disseminated intravascular coagulation were found just before intitiation of chemotherapy or in connection with this therapy (Daunorubicine).
