Abstract
Some cases of cervical microcarcinoma are examined by electron microscopy in order to punctualize the state of intercellular junctions in cervical epithelium connected to early stromal invasion. According to other authors, we found a decrease both of desmosomes and gap junctions also in microcarcinoma, as in other forms of cervical neoplasia. Nevertheless we conclude that a functional correlation between a decrease of junctional systems and early invasive neoplasia is not possible.
