Abstract

Cerebral palsy is a persistent disorder of moment and posture caused by non-progressive pathological processes of immature brain. Periventricular leukomalacia is the most common lesion responsible for spastic diplegia. Epilepsy was observed in 27% of this patients. Prevalence of epilepsy, characteristics of seizures and EEG findings were investigated in a group of 16 patients affected by diplegia and periventribular leukomalacia.
