The stapedius reflex was studied in 25 myasthenic patients by means of impedenthiometric techniques, according to Blom's and Zakrisson's suggestions (1974). This method being positive from the diagnostic point of view, a comparison was drawn between the data obtained by this technique and those obtained by means of usual electrophysiological methods applied to the same subjects. Careful analysis of the results leads to some considerations and hypotheses accounting for the apparent discordance existing between the data obtained by means of the different methods.
