Abstract
Personal experience with one-stage and two-stage urethroplasty for complex strictures of the bulbar urethra is reported and comparison is made with results obtained with urethral stents. Urethral stents seem to offer better results with limited morbidity. Longer follow-up and a larger number of patients are necessary to ascertain the potential of this new therapeutic alternative.
