Abstract

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common cancer worldwide. A majority of HCC patients present with an unresectable or metastatic HCC and systemic therapy with cytotoxic agents provides marginal benefits. Some evidence suggests that certain natural phyto-chemical compounds used in conjunction with chemo-therapeutic agents could enhance therapeutic efficacy by sensitizing cells to treatment.
