Abstract

Epidemiological trials on Somatoform Disorders (SD) have been recently performed among general practitioners and common population. Such interest is mainly triggered by the elevated Social cost of such pathology. Only few trials have been carried out among specialists In neuropsychiatry. Aim of the present investigation is two fold: 1. to assess the incidence of S. D. in neurological clinical practice, and 2. to assess the incidence of comorbidity between S. This system consists of three different scales: the Screener, the Checklist and the Interview. Patients of a neurological hospital ward will be-ênroiled in the study.
