Abstract

In this study two monozigotic twins with simple partial seizures, generalized minor seizures, neuropsychological deficits, focal sharp slow waves or spikes and pronounced activation of epileptic discharges during sleep, as observed in atypical benign partial epilepsy of genetic origin, are presented. The association of cognitive and language deficits with bioelectrical status and usefulness of treatment are discussed.
